“Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.” Leo Buscaglia
Life has been a whirlwind for our family over the last month. This is a busy time of year at Chez Redmond as we celebrate birthdays for Maggie, Katrina and Kim. Getting through the second anniversary of the accident was much better this year. Court dates – delayed yet again.
There has been lots of work travel for me with a big dollop of extra responsibilities. Travel bonus: A 2.5 hour flight delay offered the perfect time to teach a colleague Zentangle. She was a great student and is now a tangler. I taught my first Zentangle class as part of the LSU Leisure Class Series, with a second on Zendalas set for next Saturday. My deadline for next semester’s classes is tomorrow, so I’m working on a few extra ideas. Suggestions are welcome, I just need them quickly.
All of this has fostered the perfect environment for me to tangle away and de-stress. And that is exactly what I have been doing. I hope you enjoy my various gifts …

- My tangled Starbuck coffee tumbler. Love how it came out!
- My portfolio fully opened – just so you can see the whole thing
- I used my mixed media piece from earlier this year to have Zazzle create a zippered portfolio for my notepad, phone and pen. All I need for most meetings.
- I found this idea on Pinterest, but plain. Of course I had to tangle a few. I love the white ink on red the best.

- Maggie has outgrown her first pair of Tangled Toms, so I just had to make her a new pair for her birthday. The LSU purple was big hit, as was the funkier style of the shoe.

There is a link on my class page to sign up for the LSU Classes. There is just one left this year – Saturday, Oct. 20 for Zendalas
(pre-requisite is Basic Zentangle) I am finalizing my schedule for next semester (starting Late January)
I also keep the class page current. I am considering a few small workshops in Nov. & Dec. Let me know if you have any special interest.

Please let me know when you firm up the dates for Nov & Dec classes. I basically have followed several z-blogs and have been tangling for about a year. Have lots of books. Since Aug 22,when I had severe foot surgery, I have been tangling constantly, not only to supress the boredom, but as a distraction from the pain. Can’t put pressure on foot for 3 more weeks. Really want to take from a CZT. Hope to go to RI for a seminar next year.

I would say you would be able to take the Zendala class, you’ve got enough experience. I’m just cautious with more advanced classes as I have had true novices sign up for those in the past. Drop me an email an I’ll add you to my class mail out list.

Yes, please include me on your mail-out list. FYI – just after the zendalas came out, I ordered the tin and completed them in short order! Look forward to hearing from you. I should be able to get out and drive and put pressure on my foot by early Nov. Thanks again. ( so excited!!) Klaudia

Thanks for the nice comments. It wasn’t my first ever class (I’ve been teaching for over 2 years now) just my first at LSU. You were a great student and I hope you continue to enjoy Zentangle.
